Biography

Qubenzis, also known as Qubenzis Psychedelic Audio or simply “QPA”, is the artist name for the multi talented musician, composer, psychedelic trance dj Ricky Maard from Sweden (lives currently in Spain). He played instruments since childhood and has band background as synth player, bass player, Electric guitar and even drum kit. Also created music sound effects for radio-theatre and live performance art as well as creating live sound effects with his synthesizers alongside dj’s at various festivals in south Spain.

Ricky started experimenting with electronic music and instruments mid eighties. Made lots of chill and ambient recordings between 90 – 2006. Then got into Psytrance in the late nineties and eventually started to dj the genre 2006. By 2007 he finally started recording psychedelic trance music under the name Qubenzis Psychedelic Audio. Released his first Psytrance album “Meta Dawn – Total Disclosure Demanded” (Qubetech.net FEB 2010).
